The Talking Drum Circle The Talking Drum Circle brings together music, rhythm, movement, and communication in a small group setting for children and teens ages 8 to 18. Led by a speech language pathologist and percussionist, the group uses drumming, musical games, call and response, movement, and collaborative music making to work on social communication, listening, turn taking, attention, self expression, timing, and regulation. The group is neurodiversity affirming and designed for participants with different communication styles and abilities. There’s no musical experience needed. The focus is on connecting with others, experimenting with rhythm, making music, and having fun together.
